These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of digital products and services provided by The Carer's Field Guide ("we", "us", "our"), operated at thecarersfieldguide.co.uk.
By purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms. These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
If you have any questions, contact us at hello@thecarersfieldguide.co.uk before purchasing.
We sell digital products including PDF documents, HTML tools, and associated resources ("Products"). All Products are delivered electronically — there is no physical delivery.
Upon successful payment, you will receive an email with a download link. Please check your spam folder if this does not arrive within a few minutes.
Some of our Products include interactive HTML forms and tools. These operate entirely within your web browser. No data you enter into these tools is transmitted to us or stored on our servers.
We may in future offer web-based services, platforms, or subscription products. Any such services will be subject to their own terms, which we will communicate clearly before launch.
When you purchase a Product, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to:
This licence does not permit you to:
If you wish to use our Products in a professional or organisational capacity — for example, as a social worker, NHS trust, charity, or local authority — please contact us at hello@thecarersfieldguide.co.uk to discuss a professional licence. Individual purchase licences do not cover professional or organisational use.
All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. VAT is handled by Lemon Squeezy, who act as Merchant of Record for all sales.
Payment is processed securely by Lemon Squeezy. We do not store or have access to your payment card details.
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you normally have 14 days to cancel a distance purchase for a full refund. However, for digital content delivered immediately (such as a download), this right lapses once you have accessed or downloaded the content — provided we have obtained your explicit consent and acknowledgement that you lose your cancellation right upon download.
We want you to be satisfied. If you are not happy with your purchase for any reason, contact us within 14 days of purchase at hello@thecarersfieldguide.co.uk and we will issue a full refund, no questions asked. This is a goodwill guarantee that goes beyond the statutory minimum.
Refund requests made after 14 days will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Refunds will be processed within 10 business days and returned to your original payment method.
All content within our Products — including text, templates, tools, scripts, and forms — is protected by copyright and is the intellectual property of The Carer's Field Guide.
Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you. The licence in section 3 is the full extent of the rights you receive.

It is not legal advice and does not constitute a solicitor-client relationship. You should consult a qualified solicitor for advice on your specific legal situation.
Our Products do not constitute clinical, medical, or therapeutic advice. They are not a substitute for assessment by a qualified health or social care professional. Always seek professional advice for health-related decisions.
Our Products are guidance tools to help carers understand their rights and navigate systems. They do not constitute a formal social work assessment, Carer's Assessment, Care Act assessment, or any other statutory process.
We have taken care to ensure our Products are accurate at the time of publication, based on the law and guidance in force in England and Wales. However, legislation, policy, and NHS guidance changes. We cannot guarantee that all information remains current. Always verify important information with the relevant authority or a qualified professional.
If you or someone you care for is in immediate danger, call 999. Our Products are not crisis intervention tools and should not be used as a substitute for emergency services.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
Your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law are not affected by these Terms.
We reserve the right to update, revise, or withdraw Products at any time. If you have already purchased a Product, we will endeavour to provide updated versions where material updates are made, though this is not guaranteed.
We cannot guarantee that our website will always be available, though we will take reasonable steps to maintain service.
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We will always try to resolve complaints informally first. Please contact us at hello@thecarersfieldguide.co.uk before taking any formal action.
As a consumer, you may also have access to the Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase. We will post any updated Terms on this page with an updated effective date.
