The Carer's Field Guide is an independently published digital product created by a UK mental health professional. We operate at thecarersfieldguide.co.uk.

For the purposes of UK data protection law, we are the data controller responsible for your personal data.

When you make a purchase

Our payment processor (Lemon Squeezy) collects the following on our behalf to fulfil your order:

• Your name and email address
• Billing address (for VAT purposes)
• Payment information (processed securely by Lemon Squeezy — we never see your card details)
• Country of residence (required for UK VAT compliance)

Legal basis: Contract performance — we need this information to complete your purchase and deliver your product.

When you use the website

Our hosting provider (Netlify) may collect basic server logs including IP addresses and page visits. We do not use third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising cookies. We do not use Google Analytics.

Legal basis: Legitimate interests — maintaining a secure and functioning website.

When you use the fillable HTML forms

The interactive forms on this site are entirely local to your device. No information you enter into our forms is transmitted to us or stored on our servers. All form data exists only in your browser. When you copy the summary to your clipboard or share it via your device's share function, that action is taken entirely by you and your device — we have no access to it.

When you contact us

If you email us directly, we will retain your email and correspondence in order to respond to you.

Future web application

If we launch a web application or platform in future, this privacy policy will be updated before launch to reflect any additional data processing. We will notify existing customers by email before making material changes.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party. We do not share your data with advertisers or marketing platforms.

5. International transfers

Lemon Squeezy and Netlify are US-based companies. Where your data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on standard contractual clauses and adequacy decisions approved by the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) to ensure your data remains protected.

• Purchase records — 7 years, as required by HMRC for VAT and tax purposes
